Last Day in Hilton Head
Today we woke up for our last day in Hilton Head...sad! We went and met the wedding party for brunch at a place called One Hot Mama's. It was pretty fun. Everyone was pretty tired and wore out from the night before. Mostly everyone was leaving today, so Tony and I felt lucky to have one more day in Hilton Head. After brunch we decided to head over to Harbor Town. We took the afternoon to check out the city. It was really fun to see all of the boats and the lighthouse that was there. We were going to spend the rest of the day putt putting but of coarse it started to downpour again. We decided instead to spend the afternoon checking out all of the little shops on the island (that were open on Sunday that is). We drove around all of the neighborhoods and looked at all of the super sweet, super expensive houses. In the evening we had dinner at a restaurant called Red Fish. It was really delicious. I had seared scallops with lobster macaroni and cheese and pancetta asparagus. Tony had a Kobe beef burger. It was a really cool place. They had all of their walls lined with bottles of wine that you could purchase to drink with your dinner. We managed to find a decent bottle of wine for a decent price. It was a very romantic and lovely dinner! We had a great time but now it's time to go pack up our bags to return to Ohio.
Here Comes the Bride
After we went golfing at Golden Bear we went to the wedding of our good friends Kyle and Megan. It was a perfect day with beautiful weather! It was a beach-side wedding with the sea breeze in your hair! The groom's dad performed the wedding too which made it really special! The bride was simply radiant and the groom was really hansom! The food was all beachy-ish appetizer dishes and was good. All in all it was a great evening and love was in the air!

Golfing at Golden Bear
On Saturday it was sunny and beautiful out! Tony and I decided to go and golf at the Golden Bear Golf Course. It was so beautiful and fun! It should be named the Golden Bear nature preserve from all of the wildlife that we saw while we were there! We saw a lot of alligators, cranes, Egrets, and other weird looking birds! We played (well Tony played, and I was the cart driver) with two guts who lived full time in Hilton Head. Their names were Jimmy and Mike, and they were really nice! They pointed out of the awesome wildlife. They showed us were there was a bald eagles nest on whole #10! Of course my camera chose that moment to run out of batteries! The bald eagle was amazing and I couldn't believe that we were able to see it...how awesome is that, huh! Tony and I had a lot of fun that day out at the course!
The Rehearsal Dinner
Savannah, Georgia
Today is Friday and the second day on Hilton Head! We got up as early as two young kids can on vacation and had breakfast at the Original House of Pancakes again...what can I say, we really like that place! I got pecan pancakes which were slammin' and Tony got silver dollar pancakes and eggs. After breakfast we took a road trip down to Savannah. It was about 45 minutes south of Hilton Head. What a cool little town! They have an art school there so naturally the whole town is decked out in artwork. We did so many fun things while we were there! We went shopping at all of the little shops and boutiques in town. There were so many things I was tempted to buy! We went to this really neat French market that had so many old world items like French milled soap, fresh picked lavender, books, and tons of other neat stuff. We went in and looked at a couple historic houses and museums, we went and had lunch at a place called the Pirates House which was actually an old house that sea-farer's and pirates used to stay at while they were in Savannah! It was super cool! We also went and saw The Pink House which was a super old historic house there in Savannah that is also a restaurant. Next time we're in Savannah we want to eat lunch there! The whole town was very energetic and fun! Every block of Savannah is broken up into little squares with a little park in the center surrounded by houses and stores. Everything is really old and French-like! So much fun! We had to head home early, though, from Savannah because the wedding party was having a rehearsal dinner party we were invited to attend. I can't wait to come back to Savannah really soon and check out all of the awesome stuff we didn't have a chance to look at!
After lunch with the groom and bride, Tony and I decided to take some time to drive around town and try to find all of the cook stuff that Hilton Head had to offer. It was pouring rain though! You could barely see in front of you to drive, and everything was flooded. We accidentally drove right over the edge of a curb (or curve, as Chris G says) that was flooded out and popped our tire after being in the car for 10 minutes! We didn't get very far on our journey through Hilton Head! It was a pretty smooth tire popping experience though! Thank god for the Gerlings and them getting us AAA for christmas! They were there within 20 minutes. We went straight to Tire Discounters and got a new tire. It was about a 2 and a half hour excursion. We ended up having to cancel our dinner reservations for the Old Fort Pub (which was one restaurant we really wanted to eat at!). We decided to go to a restaurant called Michael Anthony's. It was so so so so delicious! It was quite possibly the best Italian food I have ever eaten! I had their house lasagna and Tony has the homemade Gnocchi. We thought that the lasagna was made from angels in heaven it was so good! It was a little pricey...but you get what you pay for! I would recommend it to everyone who has a chance to come out to Hilton Head.
Lunch with Friends
After we had our mani-pedi party we went to go see Kyle's mom's house here on Hilton Head. It was simply beautiful. They had so much artwork lining their walls and a lot of fun stuff everywhere. Kyle had some last minute stuff he had to take care of for the wedding. After that we all went out to lunch at a place called Steamers. It specializes in raw seafood and the likes. It was delicious! We had oysters in a half shell (one of my favorites), and tuna bites with a really really good gingery sauce over them! It was fun to hang out with the bride and groom to be without of of the stress they are surely gonna feel in the next few days! Their best man, Chris Santomarco came with us too. He's a lot of fun...can't wait to see how much fun everyone has at the wedding!

Nail Time!
We went out after breakfast and met a whole bunch of girls at "All About Me" which is a nail salon on the island. It was really fun to meet some new people and everyone that was going to be a part of the wedding we are going to on Saturday. I got a mani pedi (which was much needed...my hands were starting to look like Chewbacca's hands!). I got to meet the bride and spend some time with her. She seems really nice and great for our friend Kyle!
Wow! So we got into Hilton Head on Wednesday night! We have been so busy so far that I haven't had a free second to blog! I made myself get out of bed early today so I could get started on it. We drove and drove all day and night Wednesday and finally made it to the beautiful island of Hilton Head. Except it wasn't so beautiful when we arrived! It was so rainy and wet! We finally found our hotel room after driving up and down the island trying to find it. It's a really nice room with an ok view.
